It's hard to market for Free but it can be done. However it takes time and work on your part. It's not going to be easy or fast, but I will give you a game plan to follow. If you work it, and you stick with it, everyday and every week, you will start building your business.

 

 

 

Head for the school supply store and get yourself a 3 ring folder and some dividers to go with it. At least 10, one for everyday of the week with a few extra, just because.

 

Or get some index cards and a small box to put them in. You will also need some dividers with this, both alphabetical and numbered.

 

You are going to need to set up a file for everyday of the week, Monday through Friday with either the cards or the folder.

 

Next, get a free E-mail account with Hotmail or Yahoo, or just a special account with your ISP for this plan.

 

On one page or on one card, start a list for E-zine search terms. Here are a few to get you started:

 

 

You can also change E-zine to ezine without the - just to see if there is a difference.

 

You can think of more, but this should keep you busy for quite a while.

 

Here is the first bit of work you need to do. Get over to your favorite Search Engine, Google or Yahoo for example, and start Searching using those E-zine search terms. What you are looking for are E-zines that offer Free ads. Ads that you can place for Free once a week as long as you are a subscriber.

 

There are a lot of them out there, and you should subscribe to at least 20 to 30 of them to start, more later on. Use that Free or special E-mail account you set up just for this plan. That way you won't mess up your main E-mail account with all these Newsletters and E-zines. And you will know just where to look for them.

 

For each Newsletter or E-zine you subscribe to, you will get a welcome letter from the publisher, save this or print it out. If you are using cards instead of the folder, then copy the basic information on to it with the E-zine's name, URL subscription information and Most Importantly, the day to submit your Free ad and the guide lines to do it.

 

File this under the day of the week you can submit a Free ad on.

 

You should also make a copy of this on your computer, use the Notepad feature to copy the welcome E-mails and save them to "My Documents." In "My Documents" you can create a new folder for everyday of the week, and move each one to the day of the week you can submit the Free ad on.

 

Now you have a computer record and a paper back up just in case.

 

 

It won't take long to submit your ads each day. And you will be sure not to miss one and not get your Free ad in. Some E-zines use a special weekly code, you will need to get from that weeks Newsletter. So be aware of this.

 

Follow each of the publishers guidelines as far as number of lines and characters per line. And don't use all CAPITOLS in your ad, it looks bad and the publisher will throw it out.

 

Write yourself several ads using different numbers of lines, a one line ad up to a five line ad. Save them in a Notepad file and use them at least 10 to 12 times before you write another. The more people see the same ad, the more likely they will click on it and check you out.

 

Don't expect the World to click on your little Free ad no matter how well it's written. Free ads in E-zines pull the lowest response, but we are talking free here, so you take what you can get.

 

The next thing to do is to sign up for some Hit Exchanges.

 

One of the best places to find a lot of them is by joining BuildReferrals. It's free and then by passing this information on to others, you can build a downline with the ones you join through BuildReferrals. Plus they have 2 site rotators that you can use with Start pages or to help several of your downlines build or you can set up all your programs on one of them and use that URL for your Hit Exchanges. Then you can get all of your programs seen. They also have a lot of other tools you can use. (But I do not recommend the paid programs BR Hypes.)

 

The first thing to do is join everyone you can find with a Start Page option. That means you can place their Start page URL in your browser and every time you open it you see someone's Website and you get credit for having your site shown to someone else opening their browser. But with BuildReferrals you can place all of your Start page URL's in their Home Rotator and then place that in your browser so you can rotate right through them all.

 

Not all Hit Exchanges are the same. So sign up for them and use them and drop the ones that don't seem comfortable to you. If they are not comfortable to you, they won't be comfortable to others.

 

Some might wonder if Hit Exchanges work. They do, if you use them all the time. But they will work better with some Websites then others. Do NOT use sites with a lot of pictures and banners that take time to load. And NEVER send people in Hit Exchanges to sites with Flash. They won't stay long enough to see it. And they won't stay around for all those neat banners to load either.

 

If you are in a new program, Hit Exchanges will work better then old programs where everyone has seen the pages before. And a one page site with an autoresponder form for more information will pull more leads then just the straight members page from most programs.

 

So if you can, set up your own one page site with an autoresponder to Capture peoples E-mail addresses and names. Giving them just enough information to make them want to know more and urge them to request free information. There are many places you can get a Free Website, but you will have to put up with banner or pop up advertising. And the best free autoresponder going with no other ads is FreeAutoBot.com Once you have your AR set up, they offer a code for you to use to place a subscription form on your Website. Just copy and paste.

 

Also with an older program it is best to set up your own site. It gives people something new to look at and you can put in some of your own personality.

 

 

There are a lot of places you can post free ads. I think one of the best is AdlandPro. It is one of the most visited sites on the Web, you can target your ads to different countries and your ad will stay for a long time.

 

Whatever sites you use for Classifieds, make a file for it both on your computer and on paper, just in case. With AdlandPro, you will need to login everyday and update your ads. This doesn't mean you will need to change them, just go through the motions of changing them. This will keep them fresh and on top of most of the other ads places there each day.

 

And with Adland, you can choose to be notified each time someone clicks on your ad and that is a good way to track how they are working.

 

Write several ads, and keep them going by updating them everyday. You might even add a new one everyday for a while and place it in a different category.

 

One thing NOT to use are those Submit to the World and every FFA, Search Engine and Classified site deals. Doing that will only get you a lot of E-mail telling you about other peoples programs as a way of confirming your posting. And most of the time, your ad will only be on a given site for a very short while, and I mean minutes or hours not days or weeks.

 

 

That is to make sure you are comfortable while you do it. Make sure you have everything you need right by you. And take some breaks once in a while. Especially if you are spending hours at a time with Hit Exchanges and placing and updating ads.

 

If you work a game plan of your own like this and stick with it, you will see some progress. It will take time and persistence, but it will work. And when you have more time than money, it's the best you can do.

 

Once you start making some money in whatever you are promoting, you can start paying for advertising, but for now, at least you have something to start out with.
