Well, we've all seen the offers that are out there. Whether you use Hit Exchanges or Safelists. Not to mention the Spam we all seem to get. Offers for this and offers for that.

"Join Now, Just Launched, get in FREE!!"

How many of you jump when you see the word FREE, or FREE to Join? Now, I am not saying you can't make some money with a Free to Join program, but let's all be realistic. For any company to pay people, something has to be bought.

I have gotten some notices of a "New" company, claiming people can join for Free in some kind of Benefactoring deal, and when their matrix is full, they will make thousands of dollars. Think about this for a minute. Everyone joins for Free, no one is buying anything, but the company is going to pay people once a matrix is full of Free to join members. Does that make anyone stop and think, "Where are they getting the Money from?"

Somewhere, someone is going to have to sell something. Or members are going to have to buy something, for anyone to be paid anything. If you have seen this little trick Website or received an E-mail outlining this type of program, do you remember them saying anything about members having to buy a product? I don't, but a product or a service is going to have to be bought by someone. A lot of someone's.

I don't know how this program is really going to run, but my guess is, all the people who join thinking they are getting something for nothing are going to be in for a big surprise when they are asked to buy something, or sell something to someone.

Let's look at something we have all seen. The Downline Club. Not a bad idea really, build a downline, then join program. But do they work? I know, I have joined a couple of these. They are for the most part free to join, right? What happens? Sometime after you join, they start asking you to join with the group in whatever company has been chosen. This means you have to buy something, right? You are hoping that so many other members join, you will have some spill over and start making money. But what really happens? Most members don't join the company the Downline Club shows them. And if you haven't promoted the Downline Club, so you have members under you, even if you join the recommended company, chances are there will be no one under you in it. Unless the Downline Club forces everyone to join the companies it recommends, it is hard to make anything in a Downline Club.

Don't join a downline club unless you are going to join everything they offer, and unless you are going to promote it. (notice, I don't promote the Downline Clubs I'm in)

So, you joined for Free, but to make anything, you are going to have to spend some money to join whatever the Club recommends. Even then, there are no guarantees. And if you don't promote the Club, you are in for a long haul.

What should you expect when you join something for FREE? You should expect to pay something, or you should expect to have to promote the Free thing to a lot of people who join for free too. A perfect example of this kind of thing, is the Paid to Read E-mail programs out there. There are a lot of them, and unless you build a Hugh group under you, all reading the E-mails sent to them, you are not going to make enough to pay your electric bill for one day, let alone make anything anyone would think of as nice money. Paid to Read E-mail programs are not the way to make money on the Web, unless you promote the heck out of them. But they maybe a great way to advertise your own program. More on that another time.

So, bottom line on Free to join programs. Expect to either promote the company to build a group of users under you or expect to have to upgrade to a paid member, and still have to refer people to the company through you but not as many. If it's a forced matrix, then you might not have to work quite so hard promoting, but you will have to promote.

You can't get something for nothing. Everything requires you to use the service, pay something, buy something and/or promote the program. NO program is going to pay you money for doing nothing. The money has to come from somewhere, someone is buying something. If it's not you, then it is the advertisers paying for ads, who want you to see their sites and buy their product or service.

So, the next time you look at something that says, "Join for FREE" think, how am I going to make money if I pay nothing to the company?

In order to Make Money, you have to be willing to spend Money.
