That is a good question.
What are You Selling, Really?
Are You Selling Products, a Service, a Money Making Opportunity?
Are You Selling a Dream?
While you might think you are Selling almost all of these, you're Not.
You Are Selling Yourself.
Oh, sure you can place anonymous Ads, use your Affiliate site with the Hit Exchanges or Post to the Safelists.
And once in a while you might get a sign up. But what does that mean?
It means, you have found someone who couldn't care less for You, they just happen to want to be a part
of the program you advertised. Maybe they have seen enough ads for it, or seen the site one too many times, so they finally
gave up and joined. You just happened to get lucky and they joined with You.
If this happens, how do you go about Selling Yourself to someone who doesn't know you?
Well, you can set up an autoresponder to welcome them aboard, and add some further messages offering marketing
ideas and links. And if your help is good and worthwhile, they may get to know you. But it's like starting a relationship
at the Day of the Wedding in front of the Altar.
It might work out, but you don't know each other. It's another Risk you take in this business.
But if you do it right.
If you build a relationship first, You Both have a much better chance at making it work.
To Sell Yourself appropriately, you need to have a Mailing List, and you need to let those on it, get
to know you and what you stand for.
Now, you don't have to write a Sermon every week. You don't have to be a Marketing Guru. You just
have to be Yourself.
You need to make friends with as many people on your list as you can. Just an honest account of yourself
and what you are all about. Tell them what you are looking for in a Program. What turns you On, and what turns you Off.
Give them a piece of You.
If you really want to build a business, Sell Yourself First, and your Program Second.
Build a Relationship, then Build a Business.
If You Do Not Sell Yourself, it will be Very Difficult for You to Succeed in Network Marketing.
