How Am I Doing in This Online Marketing Game?

Being a Leader

Everyone marketing wants a Leader to follow.

Someone to point the way to ask questions of and get answers.

A person who knows what's going on. Who keeps on top of things.

We all want a Leader to follow.

But have you ever thought of being one yourself?

That's right, you - A Leader....

Ask yourself this question....

What do you want from your online business?

Success, money coming in every month, or something close to that.

So, how do you get that?

Well, we all know the importance of building a mailing list, of building trust.

But what happens when you get a sign up in one of your programs? What do you do? Do you even send a Welcome E-mail? Do you follow up with tips, ideas and help? Do you point the way?

Or do you just sit there saying to yourself, "Good, one more on my road to covering my costs."

If that's what you think, I hope you have a BIG Rabbits Foot to rub, because you are going to need all the luck you can get. If you don't turn yourself into a Leader, you will be very lucky to cover your costs in any Program.

Here's another question....

What does it take to build a business in Network Marketing?

Sure you have to promote, to recruit others, to sell them on your program and get them to join. But if that's all you do, you are in for a long haul. You will be promoting one thing and another forever. And never really see the Big Money everyone talks about.

Here's what a lot of people say to themselves, "If I could only get a Heavy Hitter or two in my downline, I'll be set." They want someone else to do the work for them.

Guess what happens?

No Heavy Hitters pop in to their downlines, and their downlines die.

When you say you want a Heavy Hitter, what are you really asking for?

A Leader...

And we all know the chances of a Leader joining something through us.

Zero to None.

So, you need to BE the Leader you want, and you need to teach the people who join through you to be Leaders themselves. Leaders motivate, they help, they teach, they instruct, they Lead. A Leader will build your business for you, but instead of praying for one to magically appear in your downline, be a Leader who makes other Leaders.

Sure not everyone can lead. Some of us are just Sheep and will always be Sheep. We just follow the herd and chew the grass along the way.

Smart people will tell you to watch for the ones in your group who stand out, who are starting to make it and to work with them, help them develop. And that's a good thing to do. Work with those who are working. They are on their way to being Leaders. And you need to give them all the help and encouragement you can.

But what about the others? Do you just let them mill around looking for a Leader, trying to find their way? No, you also need to show them what to do, point them in the right direction. Lead them.

Some of them will just not be led. They will wander off on their own, never to be heard of again. And sometimes, letting them go is all you can do. Sometimes a program won't give you enough information to follow up with them. Just do what you can. Be a Leader, even to those who don't want to be led.

You can't wait for Leaders to show up and expect to build a business very fast if at all. You must work with who you have a develop those who can become Leaders. Build your own Leaders. Even if you don't think you know what you are doing, try anyway. Look upline in whatever program you are in and find a Leader above you, write them and ask questions. If they really are a Leader, they will be happy to answer your everyone.

They know for them to succeed, they need Leaders downline from them. And they will help you become one. All you have to do is ask.

I never started out to be a Leader, but there are a lot of you who look at me that way. And I may not be the best Leader going, but I am trying. I answer questions, I offer help and ideas. I have never not offered help, even if it was not the advice someone wanted to hear.

I don't follow the rest of the Sheep, those of you who have sent me links and ads for certain programs you think I should join, know that. I am trying to Lead by Example. To show you GOOD Programs that offer things I believe in, things you can use or get a handle on offering to your neighbor and friends.

Some of you ARE LEADERS, and you know who you are. You are Building your downlines and showing them the way. Now, you just need to keep doing what you are doing, but keep you eyes open for the developing Leaders. Work with them and help them grow into a Leader who will build Your Business right along with theirs.

Be a Leader, who Builds Leaders and you will go far.
