If you've been around sales people at all, one thing you will hear them say is, "It's a numbers game."
And it's no different online then it is off line.
It's ALL in the Numbers.
The number of people on your mailing list, the number of people you expose your program to and the number of people who
join, of course.
You also might say, "it's all in the percentages."
What I mean by that is this, only a certain percentage of the people on your mailing list, who view your program or
join your program will do anything.
Sorry, but it's a fact of life.
Building a relationship with someone, anyone, is a long and hard process, but it's necessary in Network Marketing.
Likewise, only a certain percentage of the people you offer your program to or who view your Website will act on what
they see. You can increase that percentage by making sure, as best you can, that those who see your program are people who
are more likely to want what you are offering.
It's called, Targeting.
You have to think, what is it I'm offering and who will want it? Then you have to find out what are the best ways to
reach those who would want what you have? The more targeted your advertising or promotion is, the higher the percentages of
people interested will be.
And, only a certain percentage of those who make the decision to join your program will do a darn thing with it. Most
in fact, will just let it sit there, and then blame you or the program for their own failure.
What can you do to increase the percentage of those who do something with the program they've joined? Well, you can stay
in touch with them, offering help and advice. And that can mean just E-mailing them every so often, or setting up some kind
of E-mail series, starting with a welcome letter and then going on to help them understand how to market and get the most
out of what they've joined. You can set up a chat room or message board if you want, where you can meet and answer
questions. Some people even set up phone calls to help introduce the program to others or help those already in.
But the sad fact is, only a small percentage of those who join with you in anything will ever do a thing. No matter what
you do to help them, most will just let it sit there and do nothing.
It makes you wonder why they even bothered joining if they aren't going to do something with it. But they do join, and
they do just let it sit.
You can only offer to help, if they don't take you up on your offer, then at least you tried. Always work with those
who want to work and show it, either by asking questions or by starting to grow their own business. Make your offers of help
to all, but forget those who don't want to be helped and work with those who do. You can only help those who want it.
It's sad when you think about it. You join some Safelist, or run an ad, or spend hours getting hits
to your site with an exchange, and you think, "Gee, with all those people on that list or reading my ad or viewing my site, why
don't I have more sign ups?" It's all in the numbers and the percentages...
For example, if everyone who subscribed to my
Home Biz System, would follow the advice in it, they all would be making money. But most will not do the work, or just don't believe it's
possible. Yet they will join some "Get Rich Quick" piece of hyped garbage and hope someone else will make them money.
It is ALL in the Numbers and the Percentages. There are ways of upping those percentages, if you work at it.
But, like everything else, it requires work.
Network Marketing is like everything else, it requires working the numbers and the percentages. If you aren't willing
to except this fact of life, then get out now before you spend more money and waste more time.
But if you are willing to stick with it, work the numbers and the percentages, you will be rewarded down the
road. But you have to do the work.
