If you've been reading through this site, you might be wondering how I'm doing in this Online Marketing game we all play.

 

So, I thought this was a good time, what with the New Year and all, to tell you some of the things I have been through and where I make money and where I haven't.

 

You should know by now that I am always honest and up front with you. And if you've written me with a question about a program, you know that I don't pull my punches. I let you know what I think.

 

 

I have been messing with Online MLM and Network Marketing for Years now, ever since a slick Con Artist called me up to tell me about this company he was with and promised that some of the hundreds of people he was calling would be placed under me in the business. That was a lie, and when I called him on it months later, he back peddled like crazy and gave me all kinds of excuses.

 

I have joined things I had no interest in, just because someone told me I would be in at the top and that he was going to be promoting like crazy and we'd be set for life. Well, he tried, but it died. And I lost roughly $50 a month, until I finally came to my senses and dropped the program.

 

I have spend money on those so called Matrix deals and Downline Clubs and seen how they work and don't work. And while I may have cycled once in a Matrix, for the most part, I have watched as my money and time was wasted. As for Downline Clubs, hardly anyone joins the things they offer and so, they're a waste of time.

 

I have stood by a Company long after smarter people had jumped and were telling the world, it was all going down the tubes. But I hung on. Until I finally could not defend it any more. It was time to get out and give up.

 

I have believed the Hype Monsters when they told me and the rest of the Internet that a certain company was going to Explode, that top Guru's were going to drive it to the stars, and I spent my money and joined. Joined something that offered a product I really didn't care about or need. Not to mention, reading about it put me to sleep. But I stuck with it, defended it and then finally, again, came to my senses and got out.

 

 

I have warned people against a program that was pushing something for nothing, but that the world was jumping all over. And spending hundreds of dollars chasing a dream of easy no work wealth. And I felt sad when my predictions came true and the company filed chapter 11 bankruptcy.

 

I have even been talked into things when I should have known better, and made a big deal about how easy it was going to be to make money with. Only to realize I should have listened to those little voices in my head and never spent the time or the money. There went over a hundred dollars, plus monthly fees, right down the drain.

 

 

I have listened to people promoting over priced products telling me, "Well, with three sales your cost is covered." I learned that programs that over price their products are only in it for the money. They want to make a big killing before the bubble pops and people realize what a rip off they are.

 

I joined and promoted a company promising the Moon, Stars and everything in-between... All the promotional help you could want. But when it finally came out, there was nothing left of what they promised, just another rip off.

 

I have had to reply to poor souls who've written me, telling me how much they needed something, anything that could generate a Quick Income. People who were out of work, disabled and who were reaching out to me to tell them what they wanted to hear. That there was some kind of program or Magic Internet Spell that could be Cast to save them. I have had to write them back and tell them, "No, there is nothing that I can guarantee will make you money overnight or next week or even next month, get a Job."

 

I have been to Internet Seminars where the Real Hype Monsters laughed and joked their way to people lining up to spend money on the Over Priced Junk they were peddling. Shaking my head in disbelief.

 

I have bought the cheap leads and mailed to them, only to be replied to with profanity laced requests to be removed and very little in the way of results. 

 

 

Over the years, I have learned what is real and what is Hype. I have learned that most of you reading this will never succeed at this game we play. I have learned that most of you will never do the work needed to succeed, never take the time to find Real Programs and Companies. That most of you will keep trying to find that Mythical Key to Overnight Success and spend money you don't have and waste your time and efforts.

 

 

I have learned that the percentages are correct, only about 5% of you will ever get anywhere with this business. And that the other 95% will fail and fail again. But stupidly go on believing the Hype of the Get Rich Quick Con Artists.

 

But through it all, I am comforted by the 5% of you who have seen the light, are making the right choices, taking the risks and moving their business forward and who have written to me to thank me for the help and advice I have offered. I did nothing but try and help, and you listened and then ran with the ball toward your own goal line.

 

 

Teachers say, that if they can reach just one student and make a difference in their lives, it's all worth it. That's the way I feel too.

 

 

 

Do I make a living at this?

 

 

But, I do make money at it. I would be making even more if I had spent more money on what I know will get results. But I haven't spent enough. But I know when I advertise the TGIF Marketing Course I get subscribers. Every time. And of those who subscribe, I get sign ups in the different programs I write about. I just need to do more advertising to get better results.

 

Oh, I get subscribers everyday even with the little promotion I do, and some of those go on to join something I offer through it. Every week. I just need to do more.

 

 

And of all the programs I have joined, promoted, dropped and tried, what do I make the most money with?

 

ISORegister, that's what.

 

I make money every week with it. More money then all the Get in Now Garbage I've ever joined put together.

 

 

Is it because, the owner Darryl Graham is honest and offers real value?

 

Yes, but more then that, it's because of who you are, you who are reading this. You are marketing something, you need help to do it. And ISO offers that help in the form of discounts, software and marketing books and tools.

 

You are all my target audience for ISO. You and the people who subscribe to either my TGIF Course or my Home Biz System, are my target audience.

 

And it's not for the money, because half of those who have joined ISO through me, have not even bothered to sign up for the affiliate program. They just signed up for the products, tools and discounts. And while many of those who have signed up as affiliates under me have other affiliates under them, many do not. But I know they have sales, retail sales, and even if they don't, they sick with ISO month after month.

 

 

 

One of you has even gone on to be a Big Part of the future of ISO and I'm so grateful to have him under me and working as hard as he has. You know who you are.

 

After everything I have been through, and even though I still don't make enough to live off of, I still hang on, trying to help and to offer the best advice I can. Trying to save you from making the same mistakes I have. Trying to teach you what I know, trying to help.

 

And I don't pretend to know it all, but I share what I do know.

 

I don't like to see anyone getting ripped off, spending money and time on things that won't last passed the next Full Moon. There has to be someone on the Internet who cares and is willing to offer advice and who's not just trying rip people off. I don't care if you join anything I offer or write about. What I do care about, is that you understand what's a good opportunity and what's garbage. That you understand how not to get ripped off. That you understand what needs to be done in order for you or anyone to make a buck doing this kind of thing.

 

 

That is why I have changed much of my main Website to focus more on the Retailing of the products my programs offer.

 

 

And I know that if I target my advertising to people who need what I am offering, I will make sales. That is why I make money with ISO, because people like you need what they offer. Even if you don't market ISO yourself, you buy and stay with it.

 

 

When I was going to college and taking Acting Classes, there was one book we were told to read. It was a real downer too. That book went over and over how hard it is to make a living as an Actor. It was written to weed out the dreamers and the people who didn't want to do what it takes to be in that world and succeed.

 

So, that's one of the reasons why I have written this today, January 17, 2004.

 

 

If you don't think you can handle that, then get out now. Stop spending money and time on dreams that will never come true. Unless you are willing to stick with it and make them come true yourself.

 

Now I know that those above you might be upset at me for saying that, but ask yourself this question... Would you rather have 1,000 people under you who are never going to do anything, or 10 who are going to do the work needed to succeed?

 

 

There is no magic, no getting in at the top and being set for life.

 

There is just work and time.
