IS IT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY?

by

A very wise Marketer once said, "If I Lie to get someone signed up, what am I going to have to do to keep them signed up?"

And that is very true.

If you Lie, Over Hype and Over Sell just to get someone to sign up with you and your program, what are you going to have to do to keep them from dropping out?

I guess you could teach them to Lie.

Teach them that it doesn't matter if the company is honest, or the opportunity is real, or the product does what it says it does.

Teach them that it's all about the money, not the product or helping people with real products and real service.

You could teach them that Over Hyping a product or an Opportunity is the way it's done.

But what does that say about you and about the people who follow you?

If you Lie in your promotion and then teach others to Lie, you are saying that everyone is too stupid to be told the truth. That the product and the Opportunity is not worth it, and that the only way to sell it, is to Lie.

Is That What You Want?

  • In a Product?
  • In an Opportunity?
  • In Yourself?
  • Is It Really All About the Money?
If that's what you think, then let me tell you a little story.

Let's say there is a man who doesn't care, he's just in it for the money. He will say anything, do anything to get people to sign up in his Opportunities.

He has built up a large mailing list and people do listen to him, they follow his advice. He is a leader. He writes well, and gives thoughtful advice. But it all points toward one thing, making him money.

Week after week, he searches the Web and the E-mails he gets for new and exciting Opportunities to sell to his list. He builds up these Opportunities as if they all are the answers to the prayers of those on his list.

He promises anything, saying that he will be promoting like crazy and that anyone who joins is going to receive members under them because of all the work he's doing.  He says things like:
  • "Anyone can afford this."
  • "Anyone can make Money with this."
  • "This will be the Greatest deal on the Web."
And the people on his list believe him and many of them join, pay their money and hope for the best. He makes Money and most of them don't.

Next week or the week after that, he's found a new Opportunity and it starts all over again.
  • "Anyone can afford this."
  • "Anyone can make Money with this."
  • "This will be the Greatest deal on the Web."
More people sign up and he makes even more money.

And this goes on week after week, month after month. People believe him, spend their money and join whatever it is he's pushing. And he makes more money.

He doesn't care what happens to those who join the junk he's promoting. He knows they are just sheep looking for someone to follow, someone who will tell them what they want to hear. He knows what they are looking for, an easy way to Wealth.

It's all about him and how much he can make.

But look what happens....

After a while, the people on his list start to get wise to his Lies and Over Hype. They unsubscribe, they drop out of his junk. When they hear his name mentioned in message boards, or are asked about him in E-mails, they call him a Scam Artist and a Con Man. They start telling people to stay away from anything he's promoting. That he's only in it for himself.

And what does he do when all this starts to happen?

He looks for new people who have not heard about him and how he operates, to join his list and markets to them. He has to constantly promote himself and his list and how much he's making Online, in order to have people to sell his junk to.

To him, real residual income is a joke. He will never see it and he knows it. He will never be able to stop promoting himself.

To keep the money flowing, he will have to continue to Lie and promote all the junk Opportunities he can find. He may even start his own.  But more and more, people are turning against him. They call him names, and write terrible things about him all over the Web.

He has no friends, just money. He is living, but he's dead inside.

At first he tries not to hear what those he's cheated say about him. Then, he starts trying to defend himself, but it's hard because there is no truth to defend. He is everything everyone is saying he is. A cheat, a Liar and a Con Man.

At some point the money he once made starts to dry up. And soon stops all together.

And he ends up sad, alone and broke. And he wonders what he did wrong?

After all, he was only tell people what they wanted to hear. They wanted to believe there was a quick and painless way to Wealth and that's what he told them.

***********************************************************

I could be that man. I could look for cheap junk Opportunities that I know won't be around in 6 months. I could promote them to you and make money for a while. And if someone pressed me, I could tell them to do the same thing. Over Hype and Lie.

But I don't... Why?

Because I couldn't live with myself if I did.

And I bet if you worked that way, you couldn't live with yourself either.

I've done door to door sales, and I've read your E-mails and I know that most people are good honest folks. They don't Lie and cheat to get ahead. Oh for a while they might Over Hype something. But that's only because they have been taught to do it. They don't think of it as Lying to people. They think of it as good salesmanship.

They many even think of the all the people who don't see what they see in an Opportunity as being "Stupid" for not signing up right away.

But are they stupid for not joining, or is it really more about what those good people are promoting and how they are promoting it?

Think about that for a minute.

Look at what you are promoting, what you are pinning your hopes on.

Is it really something people want, something they need?

And I'm not talking about the money to be made promoting it and getting others to join and do the same. I'm talking about the Products the Opportunity is offering.

If you are all about the money and have to Lie and Over Hype to get people to join with you, what are you, as an honest person, going to say to them to keep them from dropping out?

How can you justify to them, why they should stay in?

Do you really want to teach them to Lie and Over Hype?

Do you really want to teach them to Steal other peoples money, because when you Lie and Over Hype Junk Opportunities, that's what you are doing to everyone who joins with you, Stealing their Money. Stealing their Dreams. Stealing their Hopes.

Someone once told me they were going to place people under me in an Opportunity and when they didn't, they had to make up all kinds of excuses why they hadn't.

Do you think I ever trusted them again?

Would you trust them after that?

It's Not All About the Money.

It's about helping others and honestly offering good value and good service and you can't do that if you've been Lying from the start.

If you learn anything from me, I hope you learn not to Lie and Over Hype, and not to join things that Lie and Over Hype just to get suckers to spend their money, their dreams and their hopes.

Another Old saying, "Cheaters never Win, and Winners never Cheat" and the same can be said for Liars.

Here's a little test you can apply to what you're doing, whatever it is.

As many of you know, I am a Christian, I believe in and have as my Savior Jesus Christ. I know He is with me, right by my side watching everything I do. Knowing that, makes it hard to do something He would disapprove of. You don't want to disappoint the Lord God after all.

So, when you are faced with a decision, whether it's a personal decision or a business one, think of Jesus standing right beside you, watching you. Or if you don't believe, then I'm sure there is someone in your life that you don't want to disappoint, a father, a mother, a sister, a brother, a son or a daughter, a husband or a wife. Someone you don't want to disappoint. Picture them standing right next to you, watching what you're doing, looking over your shoulder.

If a little voice in the back of your head, or coming from over your shoulder tells you not to do something, then listen and find another way.
